The 3D models enable the use of finite element analysis, to simulate and evaluate many aspects of the product characteristics, even during the early stages of the design process. A range of analysis is performed with the help of the models and the various modules of the CAE programs, for example:

• optimum distribution of the material;

• strained condition;

• thermal analysis;

• streamline analysis;

• hydrostatic analysis;

• analysis of molding and casting processes;

• optimization.
